Spray painting in Toronto for a finish with no brush marks
Paint Toronto sprays doors, trim, railings, cabinets, ceilings and whole empty rooms. Spraying is a method rather than a surface, and it wins wherever the finish needs to be dead flat or wherever the substrate has too many edges to brush efficiently.
Masking is most of the work and it is in the scope
Back-rolled on porous surfaces so the film keys rather than sits
Best value in a vacant suite or before furniture arrives

When spraying is the right call
Doors and trim
A sprayed door slab has no brush texture in it at all. On six-panel and shaker doors it is the only way to get a clean, even film into the profiles.
Empty rooms
A vacant suite or a pre-move-in home sprays faster than it rolls and finishes flatter, with no lap marks on long wall runs.
Railings and spindles
Anything with a high edge count, like a stair railing or a metal fence, takes a fraction of the time sprayed that it does brushed.
Our Process
How spray work runs
1
Decide spray against brush
We assess whether the space can be masked economically. Where masking would cost more than brushing saves, we say so.
2
Mask and contain
Everything not being sprayed is covered. Overspray travels, so containment is built before a gun is filled.
3
Spray and back-roll
Airless for walls and ceilings, HVLP for fine work. Porous surfaces back-rolled while wet so the coating keys in.
4
Strip out and inspect
Masking removed while the film is still fresh enough not to tear, then the work inspected under raking light.
What a spray scope covers
Spraying wins in the right room and loses badly in the wrong one.
Method chosen honestly
Where masking would cost more than brushing saves, we quote brush and roller and say why.
Containment built first
Openings sealed and return air vents covered, because overspray travels further than people expect.
Back-rolled on porous surfaces
The sprayed coating worked into the surface so adhesion matches a rolled coat rather than sitting on top.
Masking stripped while fresh
Tape pulled before the film hardens, so edges come away clean instead of tearing.
Spray Painting specifics
Masking is most of a spray painting job
People book spray work expecting speed and are surprised by the first day, which is almost entirely covering things up. That is the correct order. An airless gun lays down a wall in minutes; the reason it can is that every adjacent surface has already been protected, and protection is the labour.
This is also why the honest answer to “can you just spray it” is sometimes no. In a furnished living room, brushing and rolling is faster than masking would be, and we will quote it that way rather than sell a method that costs you more.
Airless against HVLP spray painting
Airless spraying pushes paint at high pressure through a small tip and moves a lot of material quickly. It suits walls, ceilings, warehouse decks and exterior siding, where the volume is high and a small amount of texture in the film is invisible.
HVLP moves less material at lower pressure with much better control and far less overspray. It is the right tool for cabinet doors, interior door slabs, trim and railings, where the film needs to be thin, even and entirely free of texture. Using an airless gun on a cabinet door is possible and it shows.
When to book spray painting, empty rooms first
The cheapest moment to spray a Toronto home is between closing and moving in, or between tenants. The rooms are empty, the floors can be covered wall to wall in one pass, doors can come off and be sprayed flat, and the whole job finishes in a fraction of the time a furnished repaint takes.
If you are buying, renovating or turning over a rental, booking the spray work into that vacant window is the cheapest version of the job you will ever get.
Spray painting questions
Is spraying cheaper than brushing and rolling?
In an empty space, yes, and by a clear margin. In a furnished room it is usually more expensive, because the masking required to contain overspray takes longer than brushing the room would have. The deciding factor is how much has to be covered, not how much has to be painted.
Does sprayed paint last as well?
Yes, provided the film thickness is right and porous surfaces are back-rolled. Back-rolling pushes the sprayed coating into the surface rather than leaving it sitting on top, which is what gives it the same adhesion as a rolled coat.
Can you spray in an occupied condo?
For doors and trim, yes, with the area contained and low-odour products. For full walls and ceilings we would want the suite empty, because containing overspray around furniture in a suite is rarely worth what it costs.
What can be sprayed?
Walls and ceilings in empty rooms, interior and exterior doors, trim and baseboards, kitchen cabinet doors, stair railings and spindles, metal fencing and handrails, and warehouse decks and structural steel.
How long does overspray stay in the air?
Airborne particles settle within minutes, but fine dust travels further than people expect through a doorway or a return air vent. That is why we seal openings and cover returns rather than relying on distance.
