Paint Toronto is a painting company for Toronto homes, condos and commercial space. We are a young company and we say so rather than inventing a history, because the thing we are asking you to judge us on is the quote, not the letterhead.
Every job quoted as a written scope, not a one-line price
Products named in the quote so two prices can be compared
No guarantees in the marketing, terms in the quote instead

How we quote
Why Paint Toronto quotes as a written scope
Most painting disputes start with a one-line quote. Two contractors look at the same rooms, one writes four hundred dollars less, and the difference turns out to be a coat, or the trim, or whether the walls were going to be filled at all. Nobody was lying. The quote just did not say. Ours lists the surfaces by name, the number of coats, the products by manufacturer and line, and the preparation as its own items. It takes longer to produce and it means our crews and our clients almost never disagree about what was agreed.
What we will and will not say
Terms go in the quote
Any workmanship warranty is set out in your written quote, job by job. Every substrate and exposure is different, so a blanket promise would not mean much.
Real reviews only
We publish the reviews we have and no more. When that is five, we say five, and we do not pad the count.
We will tell you not to
Sound original brick usually should not be painted. An active leak should not be covered. A failed thermofoil door will not take paint. We say so before quoting.
Where Paint Toronto works
Sixteen service areas across Toronto, Peel, York, Halton and Durham. Crews are assigned by area rather than dispatched from one address, so a Whitby job is scheduled alongside other Durham work.
What our clients say
Reviews collected directly from clients. This is all of them.
★★★★★

Paint Toronto completed the interior painting for our main floor, and the results look excellent. The crew protected our furniture, worked neatly, and finished the job on schedule.

We hired the team to repaint our condo before moving in. They helped us choose the right colours, fixed the small wall imperfections, and left every room clean.
★★★★★

The painters did a great job refreshing the exterior trim and front door of our Toronto home. Communication was clear, and the work was completed carefully despite a tight schedule.
★★★★★

Paint Toronto repaired drywall cracks and painted our basement after a renovation. The finish is smooth and consistent, and the room looks completely renewed.
★★★★★

The team was professional from the estimate through the final walkthrough. They paid close attention to the edges, ceilings, and cleanup, and we are very happy with the finished result.
Why Paint Toronto publishes its prices
The usual reason a painting company will not publish ranges is that it wants to see your house, your car and your postcode before naming a number. We publish researched Toronto ranges on every service page and run a calculator on the cost page, which removes that option for us deliberately.
It costs us some negotiating room and it buys something more useful: people arrive at the walkthrough already knowing roughly what the work costs, and the conversation is about the scope rather than about the shock.
When Paint Toronto says not to paint
A fair amount of this job is telling people not to spend money. Sound original brick on a pre-war Toronto house is usually worth leaving unpainted, because the decision is effectively permanent and stripping damages the fired face. A wall with an active leak behind it should not be painted until the leak is fixed. A thermofoil cabinet door that has lifted at the corner will not take paint no matter how it is prepared.
Saying that at the estimate costs us the job sometimes. Saying it after the invoice costs the client a great deal more.
How Paint Toronto prices the unknowns
Some things cannot be priced from a walkthrough. Whether a plaster ceiling has let go of its lath. Whether a textured ceiling contains asbestos. What is behind a wallpapered wall. How much sound wood is under a peeling soffit.
Where that happens we quote what we can see, name the unknown, and price the investigation separately rather than padding the number to cover a risk that may not exist. If the test comes back clean you pay less. If it does not, you find out before the crew is committed rather than halfway through.
About us questions
How long have you been painting in Toronto?
Paint Toronto is a new company. We would rather tell you that than pad a number, because an inflated year count is the easiest thing in this trade to invent and the easiest to catch. Judge the quote, ask for the product names, and hold it against the other quotes you have.
Are you insured?
Insurance and any other credentials are confirmed to you in writing as part of the quote, rather than claimed on a web page. Ask for the certificate and it comes with the scope. Condo buildings require it filed with property management anyway, which we handle as part of scheduling.
Do you guarantee your work?
Any workmanship warranty is set out in your written quote, job by job. We do not publish a blanket guarantee, because a warranty that means the same thing on new drywall and on ninety-year-old plaster is not a warranty, it is marketing.
What areas do you cover?
Sixteen service areas across Toronto and the surrounding 905, from Etobicoke and Scarborough through to Oakville, Markham, Whitby and Pickering. Crews are assigned by area rather than dispatched from a single address.
